Quilting for a living.
Sounds pretty good – but what does it actually mean? I am on an epic adventure to find out. OK, it may not be epic, but I do plan to keep asking questions, making decisions, changing my mind, asking more questions, and hopefully become someone who quilts for living.
I didn’t know it at the time, but the interview with Jacquie Gerring is the first in a series* of podcasts where I ask people that quilt/sew/make stuff with fabric for a living what their definition is.
It may seem like a cut and dry definition, but the more I investigate, the broader it becomes.
Teach. Sell Made Items. Create Original Patterns. Make Videos. Write Books. Design Fabrics. Sell Fabric and Notions. Blog about it. All of it. Some of it.
What about you? Do you want to quilt for a living? What does it mean to you?
