Instagram is so handy. A picture, a short caption, perhaps a hashtag or two, and it’s done.
It provides a peek into a person’s world that likely wouldn’t happen otherwise.
Because it takes time to write a blog post and quite often, the topic in question isn’t necessarily blog post worthy.
However, I am a VERY strong believer that you should be in control of your online content Everything you do should lead back to your main base – blog, ecommerce, or otherwsie – don’t give your best content away because it could all disappear. You have no control over the actions of other website owners.
I also think that Instagram might be taking away from the experience of actually reading someone’s blog – their thoughts, motivations, disapointments, victories, and basic personalities that are embedded into the site that they have carefully curated over time is so much more meaningful over time.
But you just can’t beat the instant satisfaction from instagram.
In the hopes of meeting the birds halfway instead of killing them with one stone*, I am going to give a weekly recap of my life on Instagram.
*no birds were harmed in the writing of this blog post
